In 2018 HL Landscapes contracted us to complete over 500,000m2 of batter and swale topsoiling on the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing project utilising our stone slingers / rock slingers.
The Toowoomba Second Range Crossing is one of the largest Road Construction projects completed in Queensland in recent years.
A single stone slinger averaged approximately 400m3 per day.
The stone slinger completed batters which were too large and steep for traditional methods. Risk to personnel from roll-overs was eliminated and the productivity of the stone slinger was approximately 5 times that of an excavator.
The lower compaction of the topsoil delivered by our stone slingers is favoured by the Civil Landscape and the Road Construction industry because it encourages a quicker germination and establishment of vegetation.
